It is vital to pre heat the food pod / jar by filling it with boiling hot water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Pour the water out and place your extremely piping hot food into the food jar.

The kind of food packed in the insulated jar affects the time it stays warm - soups, noodles, pastas and the like will stay warm longer than dry foods such as sausage rolls and chicken nuggets. The more air circulates in the the food jar, the faster it cools down. Make sure to fill the insulated jar with food all the way up, as much as you can based on its capacity to retain hotness.

If you are placing hot food in the insulated jar it is recommended to store the food jar on its own, or in an insulated lunch bag with no ice pack as it causes food to cool down faster than usual.
